I was on an Odyssey

Searching for a place to make home

I came across your vacancy

You looked inviting and warm

Something I would call my own

Not truly ready, you took me in

Her stay had been long and abruptly ended

The clutter of joyous memories

And scars of pain remained

But I was to ready to find refuge

Slowly I discarded the baggage

The space was still not mine

The eviction notice was posted

I left you with a real space

So the next could have a home
